In this role, you will be responsible for conducting physical inspections of cargo, preparing detailed reports, and assessing the extent of damage or contamination. You will also be involved in claims adjustment, negotiating with insurance companies, and ensuring that our clients receive fair and timely compensation. Daily, you'll use industry-standard tools like Surveyor's Compass, GPS devices, and specialized software for cargo inspection and reporting.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Conduct thorough physical inspections of cargo to assess damages, contamination, infestations, and other detriments.
• Prepare detailed and accurate inspection reports, including photographs and measurements.
• Collaborate with shipping lines, cargo owners, and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely resolutions.
• Assess the extent of damage or contamination and provide expert opinions on cargo value and replacement costs.
• Conduct claims adjustment, negotiating with insurance companies to ensure fair and timely compensation for our clients.
• Leverage industry-standard tools and software for cargo inspection and reporting, such as Surveyor's Compass, GPS devices, and specialized software.
• Stay updated with the latest industry regulations, standards, and best practices in marine surveying and claims adjustment.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, reports, and claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Surveying, Nautical Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine surveying and claims adjustment, with a proven track record in cargo inspection and damage assessment.
• Certification as a Marine Surveyor or equivalent, such as the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) or the American Society of Marine Surveyors (ASMS).
• Strong knowledge of international maritime laws, regulations, and conventions, including the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), the International Convention on Load Lines (LL), and the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with shipping lines, cargo owners, and insurance companies.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software for cargo inspection and reporting, such as Surveyor's Compass, GPS devices, and specialized software.
• Ability to travel extensively, including to international ports, as part of the job duties.
